... we constantly pray for you, that our God may count you worthy of his calling, and that by his power he may fulfill every good purpose of yours and every act prompted by your faith. We pray this so that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.
2 Thessalonians 1: 11,12

Our "calling" from God, as Christians, is to become like Christ (Romans 8:29). This is a gradual, lifelong process that will be completed when we see Christ face to face (1 John 3:2). To be "worthy" of this calling means to want to do what is right and good (as Christ would). We aren’t perfect yet, but we’re moving in that direction as God works in us.

I am grateful for the privilege of preparing weekly devotionals for our Saint Paul’s family and friends. It is my prayer that these endeavors which have enhanced my personal spiritual growth have also been helpful to those who turned to these messages each week while I traversed both the secular and religious calendar. May we all strive to move in the direction that our Heavenly Father guides us according to his grace.
